Privacy Policy

Tabkhty suggests a recipe from the ingredients you already have. We respect your privacy and built the app to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and with whom.

What we collect

• Your ingredients & preferences: your pantry items, staples, meal type / time / number of people, and your gender (male/female, used only so the recipe reads with correct Arabic grammar). We send this to our servers only when you ask for a recipe, to generate the recipe and its photo.
• A random device identifier: generated on your device to prevent abuse (daily limits) and to recognize your subscription. It is not linked to your name, email, or identity.
• Recipes you choose to share: when you tap Share, the recipe (title, ingredients, steps, photo) is stored so the share link works.
• Subscription status: via Apple and RevenueCat, to unlock Tabkhty Plus.

What stays only on your device

Your name, your saved recipes, your pantry list, and favorites are stored on your device and never sent to us.

What we do not do

• No account or sign-in required.
• No ads, and no tracking across other apps or websites. We use product analytics and crash reporting (PostHog and Sentry) keyed to the random device identifier only, with no name or email, so we can see what works, what breaks, and fix it.
• We do not sell your data to anyone.

Who we share with

We use trusted service providers solely to operate the app:

• OpenAI: to generate the recipe text from your ingredients.
• fal.ai: to create the dish photo.
• MongoDB Atlas: to store shared recipes, usage limits, and subscription status.
• PostHog: anonymous product analytics (which screen was opened, whether a recipe suggestion succeeded) to improve the app.
• Sentry: crash and performance reports (device model, OS version) so we can fix problems quickly.
• RevenueCat and Apple: to manage subscriptions and payments.

Children

Tabkhty is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Retention & deletion

You can request deletion of data held on our servers by emailing hi@tabkhty.com. Data on your device is removed by deleting the app.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
